Hey everyone! How are you doing? TGIF!!! I have to study over the weekend though...I have my final exam next Tuesday and Thursday!! College is a BIATCH! LOL!
After receiving my Mark order for about 1 week now, and I've been using it pretty much everyday to test out the colors/quality/wear. I think I'm ready to write a review on them.
Here are all the colors:
top row (L-R) Victorial lace, biscotti, minx, nomadic, wink wink, vintage khaki, corset
bottom row (L-R) Tiki, tough luxe, Gioia, Java, Plum velvet, Retro Peacock.
clockwise: Victorian Lace, Biscotti, Tough Luxe, Tiki
clockwise: Minx, Nomadic, Java, Gioia
clockwise: Wink Wink, Vintage Khaki, Retro Peacock, Plum Velvet
I've never tried Avon makeup before. For some reason, I've always considered them as the brand for the "Menopause Generation". I guess that's because in China, this brand is targeted toward that group.
However, after Avon came out with Mark and hired Lauren Conrad (LC) from The Hills, I've been itching to try it out. I know, I know, I should know better than to watch the Hills, but I'm completely addicted to their fashion and all the drama. I LOVE Lauren Conrad and Lo!! I HATE HATE HATE Heidi/Spencer with his skin-colored beared (gotta love Joel Mchale/The Soup)/Audrina! I have to admit though, I really admire that kind of lifestyle. They don't have to worry about anything really, all they have to do is to find drama and sleep around.
Sorry, I got sidetracked. Back to Mark! I've been wanted to try Mark for forever and a half now, so two weeks ago, I finally gave in and bought some online. Avon always has free shipping codes, so it's not that big of a deal. Mark's prices are UNBELIEVABLE! Their e/s pans are only $4 and you get 2.5 grams!! MAC, you can eat your heart out w/ the $14 for 1.5 grams! I really love how pigmented the shadows are, and the most awesome thing is that they don't fade! I don't even use a base, and they lasted about 6-8 hours on me!
The only thing that annoys the SHIT out of me is that like Stila, you have to purchase a palette to put the e/s in. However, unlike Stila, the palettes are a lot more affordable. The big one (fits 8 e/s) costs $8, and the small one (fits 2 e/s) costs $4. I REFUSE TO PAY EXTRA for the palette, so I need to improvise somehow (still working on that).
I should've done some swatches, but I'm too tired at the moment. I did two videos today, one is the Mark product review, and the other one is the Bronzey look using Mark products. Please check them out if you' like.
I have a lot more hauls on the way, so I will be busy next week! Since I'm leaving for Miami next friday and will be out of town 'til 8/25, I'd like to get as many videos/posts up to tide you guys over! See? I'm an awesome blogger! LOL!
Please feel free to ask if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks for reading/watching! TTYL!
