Why was I so IMPATIENT?! Why did I order Stila Smudgepots w/o a special?!! Yes, I was running dangerously low and realized that I couldn't make it another week w/ the amount left, but seriously...Why did I spend $20 on ONE smudgepot?! WHY DID I GET MORE THAN ONE?!!! I got.....3!!! There goes $60+tax....

I was ok with it since it lasts me so long....until I saw THIS on Beautycrunch.

What it is: An all-about-black set that creates an edgy eye.

What it does: Black Is The New Black Set delivers a daringly dramatic look that was edging down the runways this fall. The monochromatic look uses black to create a high-fashion eye that takes bold to a whole new level. Three of Stila's star products—Eyeshadow in Pewter, Smudge Pot in Black, and Convertible Lash & Liner in Black—create a lined, defined, and emphasized eye. You'll be left with the most sultry stare they've ever laid lashes on.

What else you need to know: This limited-edition set contains: - 0.09 oz Eyeshadow in Pewter - 0.14 oz Smudge Pot in Black - 0.1 oz/ 0.07 oz Convertible Lash & Line in Black.

The best part? It's only $12!!

*stabs self in the heart*

Yes, the $8 shipping on Beautycrunch IS a pain in the butt, but still, this is WAY too good of a deal to pass up. I recommend EVERYONE to go and order one. Seriously, Stila Smudgepot is THE best gel liner I've ever used (and I've used a lot). I think I repurchase this item at least 5 times. It's the ultimate HG for me and you KNOW how picky I am.

Now if you'd excuse me, I'd like to go cry myself a river over the fact that I was so stupid (and the fact that I have to wake up at 6:30 again).

Good night,

Monday, June 29, 2009

Today is the first day of my MAIB (Master of Arts International Business). Already I feel like dragging a dull object across my throat slowly.

This is my fun (NOT!) schedule:
--6:30 am: wake up unwillingly, after snoozing 20 times
--6:31-6:50 am: falling asleep sitting on the toilet.
--6:50-6:55am: FREAKING OUT after waking up b/c my bus leaves at 7:10am
--6:55-7:10: do my makeup quickly, while cussing like a sailor b/c I saw a few pimples emerging.
--7:15-7:40: after missing the 7:15 bus, I had to wait for the another one....
--8:00 am-10:45 am: Global Strategic Management
--11:00 am-1:45 pm: Fundamentals of International Business

Right now it's 12:42pm, and I am bored out of my MIND!! Global Strategic Management was ok, since there was a lot of class participation. Fundamentals of International Business, however, is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring. You guys have NOOOO idea. I didn't know I could physically be so bored. Professors should NOT be able to make classes so unentertaining, this should be like ILLEGAL.

Some one PLEASE save me.

Anyways, I need to start paying attention now. I'm leaving you w/ my newest tutorials.

Simple Cat Eye:

Perfect Red Lips:

That's it! Ciao!

Hi guys! I'm sure everyone's been hauling like crazy during MAC Sumo sale. Like everyone else, I ordered a few goodies I've been lemming as well.

The loot:

--MAC Face and Body foundations in C2, C3, and C5.
--MAC MSF in Refined
--MAC MSF in Perfect topping
--MAC MSF in Gold Deposit

Some of you might think that I'm crazy for ordering 3 foundations, but I've heard great things about the F&B foundations so I wanted to give them a try when there's a special. I'm thinking of mixing C2 and C3 for my perfect match, and C5 as my liquid bronzer (works AMAZING well!). I've been using them recently, and they held up pretty well in 100+ degree weather that has 80% humidity. However, their coverage is VERY light though, so you need to use a concealer to cover up imperfections. I will do a formal review on that.

I'v lemmed the Sugarsweet MSFs when the collection came up, but couldn't justify the $27 price tag. However, w/ the 25% off special, I caved. The textures of these 2 MSFs are both very finely milled and NOT chunky. It gives the skin a great glow that's very subtle. Gold deposit, on the other hand, is very metallic and is great to use as a bronzer for ppl w/ tanned skintone.

Refined MSF:

This is a light golden peach MSF. It's got some light gold, pearly beige, neutral brown, and peach veinings throughout the pan.

Perfect Topping MSF:

Light lavender, Light ivory, dark peach, cocoa veinings throughout the pan. It looks light pink on the skin though.

Gold Deposit:

Gorgeous 24K gold. It doen'st look orange on the skin, which is great! It's got a lot more obvious shimmer than the previous 2.

Swatches: L-R Gold Deposit, Refined, Perfect topping

Anyways, I will do some FOTDs w/ these soon, so please stay tuned!

I feel like I'm missing out...

After seeing blog after blog, video after video, of people who went and had a blast at the IMATs, I can't help but feel a little jealous.

I wanted to go to the IMATS too; I wanted to get MAC Pro card w/o qualifications (though I heard that they got rid of that); I wanted to get makeup at 40% off; and I wanted to hang out w/ fellow YT gurus and beauty bloggers.... However, due to my schedule/financial restrictions, I couldn't. My grad school is starting tomorrow, and even if I had time, I couldn't justify spending $300 on plane tickets for a 1 day event.

I'm really envious at the other bloggers/gurus who can just fly over and meet/greet everyone. I don't get how they can do that though. Don't they have jobs/schools? How come they can all go to IMATS? ME WANT ME WANT ME WANT TOO!

Dun dun DUN!

I think I busted my knees, more specifically, my left knee.

I heard a distinct CRACK when I was doing the wall lunges today. At the time it didn't bother me that much, it didn't hurt like I broke it or anything, so I just continued on w/ the workout. However, 30 minutes after I finished my workout, it's hurting like a mofo. It cracks everytime I move it. Although I feel a tiny pain in the right knee, I can definitely feel it in the left knee.

I don't know what I can do to ease the pain. I'm mainly upset because I dont' know if I can keep up w/ the P90X workout from now, I was doing so well too! I was working out every single day for like 1 hour each day. I don't know if my knee can handle keep up with that. I think I need to go see a doctor to make sure nothing's seriously injured...

I'm upset.

...from misery of having to watch 8 episodes of Star trek, Stargate, Star-Anything!! Da-AM! My BF is completely addicted to those Sci-fi shows, and I have to just "suck it up" and sit through episode after episode of some REALLY nerdy script, LOL!

Now, they are TOLERABLE, but far from what I'd consider to be fun. Here's a list of the FUN shows I like to watch:

1. CSI: Miami---I love this show b/c how ridiculous everyone talks and dresses. I love the stupid puns Horatio Caine uses before the theme song. I love how everyone, from a detective to a lab technitian to a freaking cachier, looks like they just walked out of a fashion show. Everyone's so good looking and wears very expensive labels. I assure you that the Miami Dade police DO NOT look like that. Trust me, I've been pulled oever enough times, LOL! However, if Eric Delko was the cop, I'd be happy to comply a full-body cavity search! LOL! JK JK.

2. House--I'm sure you all know my obcession with Huge Laurie, AKA Gregory House. He's so sexy in a dirty way. He never looks clean/sober, yet his intelligence and his "I-don't-give-a-shit-about-life-but-I'd-still-save-your-ass" attitude is such a turn-on! Also, Olivia Wilde, AKA 13, is one HOT tamale!

3. MTV's 16 and Pregnant---This is such a guilty pleasure. I feel so bad for saying this, but I feel so much better about myself after watching clueless teenagers fuck up their lives without realizing. However, I hate MTV for portraying teen pregnancy in a sorta glamorous way. They make raising a baby at 16 look so easy. I pray to God that young ppl don't watch this show and go get pregnant just so they get to be on the show.

4. Criminal Minds--This is like CSI but BETTER! People actually sound intelligent on this show. It actually has a PLOT! YAY for shows that make sense! I actually become nervous/excited/anxious as the show progresses, it's really good!

5. Important Things w/ Demitri Martin---Demitri Martin is Hi-FREAKIN'-larious! I love love love love LOVE him! The show is SOO funny yet it's about random things you've thought about but never said outloud! LOVE him!

6. The Soup on E!--Joel McHale is one sexy beast! I don't care that he's 8 feet tall and balding, a great sense of humor (and intelligence) is all I need in a guy! I think Joel McHale INVENTED the phrase "Spencer Pratt and his flesh-colored beard" LOL!

Anyway, the above shows are some of my guilty pleasures on TV. What are some of yours?

Peace out!

Swatching Series: TKB Trading pigments PART 1

Hi guys! After weeks of un-beauty related posts, today I finally sucked it up and made it a swatch day!

I've received a lot of questions regarding the brand TKB Trading. I've said it before and I will say it again: I LOVE THEM MORE THAN MAC PIGMENTS. TKB Trading is more geared towards wholesalers, like people who buy the colorants and make their own cosmetics/repackage them for resale. Therefore, all the products are extremely affordable and the quantity you get is AMAZING!! More importantly, their qualities are FAN-FREAKIN'-TASTIC!!!! OMG! I can't get over how pretty they are!!

A little info:

Price: $1.50 for a sample which is A LOT of product, definitely more than 5 grams. I think 1 oz of product is around like $4-7? Ladies and gents, 1oz = 28grams=$4-7?!! Are you for real?!! SAWEET!!

Sizing: They are more than generous!

Here's a comparison of a $1.50 sample against my hand. It's very packed too!

Here's a comparison of a sample vs. 1 oz. See the difference in size?! It's only like $3 difference! I can't believe it!

First up, we have some blues. (Sorry guys, it was overcast...yes, 101 degree and OVERCAST! It was more humid than a mofo!!)

L-R: Blue Ice, Coral Reef Blue, Indian Blue, Blueberry Pop!, Midnight Train

Blue Ice: Light blue with light lavender shimmer, similar to MAC Frozen White pigment.
Coral Reef Blue: Vivid emerald green w/ gold shimmer
Indian Blue: Ocean blue w/ greenish gold shimmer, think MAC parrot
Blueberry Pop!: Bright mid-tone blue with brilliant shimmer, similar to MAC Pro e/s in Blue Calm.
Midnight train: Drk dark blue w/ navy shimmers, looks almost like a steel gray

Next up, we have PURPLES! I love purples!

L-R: Pearl vioetl, ultramarine violet, grape parfait, Bishop's Violet, Manganese violet, Grape Pop!, and Love song

Pearl Violet: pearly light violet w/ white shimmers
Ultramarine Violet: Matte blue toned pruple. It's difficult to blend, but it's BEAUTIFUL! It also looks a lot like the infamous MUFE e/s #92
Grape Parfait: Mid-tone vilet w/ strong blue shimmer. It looks a lot like MAC Cornflower pigment.
Bishop's Violet: Pink violet w/ blue shimmer. Identical to MAC pink pearl pigment/stars n' rocket e/s
Manganese Violet: Matte neon bright pinky violet. I think it's identical to one of MAC's neon pigment, is it called "Full Force Fuchsia"? Correct me if I'm wrong though. Again, it's very difficult to blend, but if you know how to work with mattes, it's VERY pretty.
Grape Pop!: Shimmery bright purple w/ blue undertone.
Love song: Deep Purple w/ red shimme, looks a lot like MAC Satellite Dream e/s

Next up, we've got CORALS!

L-R: Cotton Candy, Foliage, Bolera, True Coral, Tibetan Ochre, and Cruicible Red

Cotton Candy: Very innocent baby pink. This color does have a lot of fly aways, so make sure you powder under your eyes before using this. It makes a GORGEOUS lipcolor when mixed w/ a clear gloss. The color is similar to MAC Sweet Lust e/s, but more pigmented.
Foliage: berry pink w/ violet shimmer
Bolera: Warm Coral pink
True Coral: Bright warm coral. It's very similar to MAC Electric coral pigment. Beautiful as a blush.
Tibetan Ochre: Similar to Bolera, but a lot more shimmery, it's also a little darker.
Cruicible Red: This is a BEAUTIFUL velvety dark red w/ metalic sheen. It's very up-scaled look. Beware: This sample is only a teaspoon instead of a tablespoon.

Next up, we have GREENS!

L-R: Lotsa lime, Ture Green, Aquarius Mica, Green Quartz

Lotsa Lime: shimmery yellow lime green, like the green e/s from the MAC McQueen collection.
True Green: shimmery true green w/ silver shimmer. Gorgeous!
Aquarius Mica: Golden dark olive, though it has a lot of silver shimmers too.
Green Quartz: Grayish light pink w/ light green shimmer.

Last but not least, we have more GREENS! LOL!

L-R: sparkle turquoise, All love green, Cyprus green, After Twilight Green

Sparkle turqoise: Pearl shimmer w/ lots of light turquoise shimmers. Great as a highlight for a green smoky eye.
All love Green: Deep olive green, think a darker version of MAC Sumptious Olive e/s
Cyprus green: DArk forrest green w/ gold/green shimmers
After dark green: Dark gray base w/ brililant green shimmer....Yes, I got it cuz it has "Twilight" in it, lmao!!

That's it for today y'all, I'm pooped! I've got more coming in a few days though. I need some time to breath, LOL! Hope you enjoyed! PLMK if you have any questions!

Today's a poopy day...

Today is overall a shitty day.

Is it me or is YT taking FOREVER to upload a video?

I tried to upload one 7 minute video yesterday, and after 3 hrs of uploading, I gave up. It wasn't going anywhere. Today, I tried to reupload it 3 times, and each time it took forever. So I though "Hmmm, I'm helping a friend to move today, and it might take a long time, so I should let the vid upload when I'm helping the friend."

Guess what? 6 hours later, it's still not uploaded.....I'm beyond frustrated right now. This should NOT be happening!! WTF?!!

When I helped my friend to move today, I assumed that she didn't have that much stuff. Why?
1. She's a single.
2. She's not into makeup/clothes/cutesy useless stuff.
3. She said it'd be easy.

The expression on my face when I walked into her room would've been priceless if it weren't on my face....She has A LOT of stuff. A LOT!! Damn. I was so shocked. Apparently she forgot to mention that her mom sends her big suitcases full of a stuff 5 times a year. It's all for like soups and stuff. She's from Hong Kong, and you know how they like to make soups....yea, those. They are not heavy by anymeans, it's just like talking up and down the stairs 2307240234 times in the extreme humidity gets tiring FAST. She's my friend and I love her with all my heart, but DAMN! I was exausted!

Also, I DEFINITELY need heavier weights for my legs, but I CANNOT do a pull up to save my life. The 8lb dumbbells did nothing for my legs cuz I couldn't feel the burn. When I used a resistance band for the "pull ups" it felt like a like nothing.=, but I couldn't do a real one, so I half-assed it. I feel like I didn't get as much out of the "Leg and Back" workout today as much as I did yoga. It's very frustrating. I had to do "Ab ripper X" today also, and if you followed the move exactly, you would've done 349 moves, but I felt lightheaded by then time I did like 50, so I had to pause it. I'm dissapointed in myself.

Sigh, today's an overall shitty day. I'm pissed and exausted. Laters.

P.S. EDM does NOT stand sweat/humidity well. I need a sweatproof waterproof humidity-proof foundation. I hope the MAC Face and Body foundation I ordered yesterday would be good.

WOW......Who would've thought

...That Yoga would be so tiring?!!

Today is the Day 4 of my P90X journey, and when I woke up this morning, my butt was so sore. I felt like I got hit by a bus and ran over by many motorcycles.... It is not as bad as I imagined/people made it seem, but it was still pretty agonizing. I already did Core Synergistics, Plyometics, and Arms and Shoulder. I only felt a little soreness from arms and shoulder, so I guess I need heavier weights, but man, those mofos are EXPENSIVE!! They're like $20 EACH! So I think I might just get a resistance band to tide me over.

Anyways, so today I was supposed to do Yoga X. To be honest, I've never been a fan of Yoga/Pilates, I think they are boring and not effective. I fell asleep once when I was taking a Yoga class back in was really embarrasing. LOL! So today when I put in the disk, and saw that it was
1.5 HOURS of Yoga, I was like "oh hell no!! ". I didn't want to waste my youth, LOL!

However, 5 minutes in the workout, I realized that this is different. This is not for people to fool around and fall asleep in. This is SERIOUS. The first 45 minutes were pure torture. I feel like a rubberband just waiting to break. I got so sweaty I had to wipe off my mat! It was pretty bad. Yet, I stuck with it, and came to a pleasant realization that the 2nd half is a lot easier in my opinioin. Don't get me wrong, it's NOT easy, but for me, it was easier than the 1st half. It was more for flexibility/balance, and I'm pretty good at that.

Except there was this part in which you have to stand on your hands, and I was like "WTF?!!". Obviously I failed at that, LOL! I did get one foot off the floor though, so I'm pretty proud about that. At the end of the workout, I felt so liberated and exuberant, I was ready to take on the day!

My diet for the past 4 days has been good. I had a lot of tofu and eggs, and LOTS of vegetables. I discovered this bar by Kellogg, and it's called Fiber Plus. It has 35% of your daily fiber intake in a bar, and it's only 110 cal! I got them in Chocolate chip and Dark Chocolate Almond flavors, and they are DELICIOUS! I would've never guessed that it was a fiber bar. It tastes a lot better than the Special K bars!

Anyways, I don't think there's a difference in my body yet, but I do feel very energized and I don't crave junk food as much (yet). I lost 1 lb, but I guess that could be water weight. LOL! Overall, I really like P90X so far. The instrutor Tony Horton is very down to earth. He doesn't make you feel inferior b/c you couldn't do a "Half moon", instead, he pokes fun at himself and admits that sometimes even HE cannot do it. It's very different from the previous workouts I've used. I'm actually looking forward to working out everyday, instead being afraid of it. I'm really excited to reach my 30 day mark to see the transformation.

I'm so pooped, I gotta go take a nap. Peace out!

P.S. For those of you who purchased from my sale, I'm going to the PO at 5pm, so your packages will be on their ways! I will let you know via email though. Thanks for everything! <3

I need some self-discipline...

I am REALLY lemming some Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars. However, at $12.50 each, they ain't cheap, especially considering that I have a bagillion other lip products waiting for my love, I can't really bring myself to click the "Submit" button. However, I DO have Grandma, NSFW, Melange, and Orange in my cart as we speak. Dear God...Please give me some much needed restraints. I can't buy any more lip products, especially after my crazy-ass VS Beauty Rush haul....

On another note, I got my P90X today! WOOHOO! I started right away. I'm doing the LEAN version, which is more cardio intensive than the P90X Classic version. Basically you get 12 DVDs, focusing on different parts of your body. Depending on which version you are doing, just substitute DVDs everyday. There are 3 versions:

Classic: This is the traditional "recommended" version that most people use. It's very intense. This is for people who are already very fit and disciplined.
Doubles:This is for people who have lost their minds, LOL! I kid I kid. This is for people who are preparing to join some serious sports, like a triatholon. It basically doubles the workout of the Classic version. WARNING: this is NOT for the faint of hearts.
Lean: This is more for people who are looking for that lean look, like women. They don't want those bulky muscles and looking like a body-builder. This is more on the cardio side, and it's a lot easier than the other two.

I did the "Core Synergistics" today, and after an hour of of hard core workout, all I wanted to say is "Holy @%^*!$!!!" It is very very hard, but surprisingly, easier than I imagined. I thought I couldn't do ANY of the moves, but I managed to follow 95% of the workout eventhough I was hurting like hell. I THINK I will change it to the Classic version to challenge myself a little. As I'm typing this in my bed, I can definitely feel the soreness in my chest, back of my thighs, and butt. I am REALLY not looking forward to getting up in the morning to pee tomorrow. LOL! I can't imagine doing another workout tomorrow! My BF joked that I'm gonna space this out to be P180X and take a break between every workout. LOL! Although I really don't want to feel the pain, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's workout. I want to see what Tony's plan is to torture us, ahaha.

Oh, speaking of which, I have a quesiton: Do you think I should start another blog for diet/workout only? I've received some requests on Youtube and email, some people think it'd be interesting to see my journey through P90X. I guess they want to see what happens as I proceed with the workouts and whatnot. Please let me know if you think it's a good plan!

Anyways, sorry to another pictureless post. I'm doing more Youtube vids nowadays b/c it's a lot easier. I do have another sale coming up this weekend, which includes a lot of brand new MAC items and pigments, so please check back soon!

Take care and have a wonderful day!

It's time to get serious....

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, after careful consideration, I've ordered myself the infamous Beachbody's P90X Extreme Home Fitness with Tim Horton.

If you are interested in more details, please see their official site.

According to various site, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, and Sheryl Crow all supposedly use this, and as you all know, they are total hot tamales. Priced at $140, P90X is by FAR the most expensive workout DVDs I've ever purchased. After I told my friends/families that I got P90X, EVERY SINGLE ONE of them laughed in my face. "Yeah FREAKIN' right! Professional atheletes can't even do that!" was the most common response I got.

I was intrigued b/c the workout looked so serious, I really want to be toned and buff. I don't want to be really skinny, I just don't want my body to jiggle for 5 secs after I stopped moving. However, I AM prepared for the fact that I won't be able to finish the workout, since they are so physically demanding. I think I might need to use the "30 day mondy back guarantee". LOL!

Anyways, I ordered it yesterday on, and it's already shipped out. I'm so anxious for its arrival. I will let you guys know after I tried it out.

Also, I know a lot of you are waiting for my reviews and FOTDs with the new producs, but I havnen't been out in 5 days, LOL! I don't feel like doing makeup when I'm just staying at home. I've been feeling very uninspired lately, every look I do seems to be unoriginal. I'm looking at makeup pics online to find some inspirations, so please be patient in the mean time.

I am also painting my living room right now. I chose this taupe-y color, but I don't why it looks PINK on my wall..... I'm worried.

Anyways, I hope you all have a great day! Peace out!

I'm BACK!!

Hi my friends! How are you all doing?

I'm finally back after what it seemed like a month hiatus. I''m currently in the process of taking pictures of all the goodies I got/products for review. I'm also filming quite a few YT vids, so make sure to check those as well.

I think I will update the YT more frequently than blogs b/c somethings are easier to say than type. Anyway, I will be posting a lot in the next few days, so please stay tuned!

What's coming up next?

This is how I organize/store my massive collection:

PLMK if you have any other questions and have a great day!
