I need some self-discipline...

I am REALLY lemming some Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars. However, at $12.50 each, they ain't cheap, especially considering that I have a bagillion other lip products waiting for my love, I can't really bring myself to click the "Submit" button. However, I DO have Grandma, NSFW, Melange, and Orange in my cart as we speak. Dear God...Please give me some much needed restraints. I can't buy any more lip products, especially after my crazy-ass VS Beauty Rush haul....

On another note, I got my P90X today! WOOHOO! I started right away. I'm doing the LEAN version, which is more cardio intensive than the P90X Classic version. Basically you get 12 DVDs, focusing on different parts of your body. Depending on which version you are doing, just substitute DVDs everyday. There are 3 versions:

Classic: This is the traditional "recommended" version that most people use. It's very intense. This is for people who are already very fit and disciplined.
Doubles:This is for people who have lost their minds, LOL! I kid I kid. This is for people who are preparing to join some serious sports, like a triatholon. It basically doubles the workout of the Classic version. WARNING: this is NOT for the faint of hearts.
Lean: This is more for people who are looking for that lean look, like women. They don't want those bulky muscles and looking like a body-builder. This is more on the cardio side, and it's a lot easier than the other two.

I did the "Core Synergistics" today, and after an hour of of hard core workout, all I wanted to say is "Holy @%^*!$!!!" It is very very hard, but surprisingly, easier than I imagined. I thought I couldn't do ANY of the moves, but I managed to follow 95% of the workout eventhough I was hurting like hell. I THINK I will change it to the Classic version to challenge myself a little. As I'm typing this in my bed, I can definitely feel the soreness in my chest, back of my thighs, and butt. I am REALLY not looking forward to getting up in the morning to pee tomorrow. LOL! I can't imagine doing another workout tomorrow! My BF joked that I'm gonna space this out to be P180X and take a break between every workout. LOL! Although I really don't want to feel the pain, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's workout. I want to see what Tony's plan is to torture us, ahaha.

Oh, speaking of which, I have a quesiton: Do you think I should start another blog for diet/workout only? I've received some requests on Youtube and email, some people think it'd be interesting to see my journey through P90X. I guess they want to see what happens as I proceed with the workouts and whatnot. Please let me know if you think it's a good plan!

Anyways, sorry to another pictureless post. I'm doing more Youtube vids nowadays b/c it's a lot easier. I do have another sale coming up this weekend, which includes a lot of brand new MAC items and pigments, so please check back soon!

Take care and have a wonderful day!
Tao

no you shouldn't start it because you haven't seem to have improved on any of your diets. self-discipline, for sure. you need to be able to prove to yourself first that you can do it, then help others afterwards or else you will let a lot of people down along with you. be living proof that it works, not just someone else that failed to do so. hopefully this honesty will help motivate you even more.

Hey Tao,
I find that a health/diet blog/channel really helps to motivate yourself. I used to have a health blog and it was great. And the even greater thing is, your friends motivate you too and they will tell you off if you're making mistakes, too. It is really helpful. I would definitely follow it :)

Tao, you really me laugh! =D

I would love to see your diet/weight loss journey, but I don't think you need to make a separate blog for that. You can just post them all in here.

Good luck with the workout tomorrow!

I think you should incorporate your progress here :D Just tag it as "Diet" would be easy enough. Starting a new blog would be too taxing in the sense that you might feel pressured to update often, but I really DON'T believe in weighing/measuring yourself TOO OFTEN! Just IMO...

In response to Anonymous:
I truly don't think that you HAVE TO prove that IT (in this case the p90x) works because diet results vary from person to person. Also, MANY people do fall off the wagon in their journey to weight loss! It's their courage to pick themselves up and continue stedfastly that motivates! Perfection does not necessarily motivate, you know...

Let us know when ur sale is happening..I'm super interested in the pigments!!

That'd be great to post your P90X journey Tao!
You never know how many people you may motivate by posting your journey ;)
Good luck Tao!

Good luck with this program. At least you're dieting in a healthy way without starving yourself ( which doesn't work, trust me I know). The end result will be positive no matter how much weight you loose because exercise helps to strengthen your muscles which in turn make you feel stronger and look better. I look at it as an investment in your body that will help you in the long run( with premature sagging etc). A few years back I was on an exercising frenzy and by regularly exercising I really managed to improve every aspect of my live. I looked better not only body wise but my skin really cleared up. And most notably I felt really good meaning I was really cheerful and energetic. I stopped exercising over time though and I really should take it up more. This reminds me that I need to start using that treadmill that I've bought in December before I start handing out advice to everyone.
Anyway I don't think it's really necessary to create a separate dieting blog though. I'm mainly a cosmetics junkie but I don't mind reading an occasional health and dieting post. But if you feel you want a separate blog where you can focus only on the dieting go for it, whatever works best for you! Oh and concerning the "you need to live it and love it and prove it, and you've failed so far blablabla " comment in the beginning I think that you look fab and you don't need to prove a damn thing to anyone but yourself!

you should just blog on this blog, it'd be easier and i get tired of reading about makeup sometimes so it's good to wean away from the beauty section for a while.

You should make a section for "Diet" on your blog here. Having too many blogs might be a bit difficult to keep up with, plus you always have your youtube channel to keep us all updated! I wish you luck with the diet Tao!

awww you're soo cute!

I have the px90 workout too, my friend "obtained a copy" for me.. but I haven't tried it yet.
I need to find the motivation!!

And I also invested in the Zumba workout, which seems really fun, since its more based on Latin dances/workout. and Ive seen several blog gals with awesome results...

but yah brick toast and crawfish doesn't help in the "diet and eating better part"
HAHAHHAHH

eeps... nice to see u bloggin' again and poppin up again girlie!!!

I tried this today, the p90x.. i did the plyometrics one, DAMN that thing kicked my ass !! haha
i dont know how you did an hour of the first one..wow... the one i did was hard as hell.

good luck with your program Tao , and really.. diet isnt really as big of a deal as fitness. Nutrition is mostly common sense. Like, dont ever eat fast food, limit sugar and fats but you can still eat what you like in moderation :)

P90X is great, my boyfriend has been doing this workout plan for about 8 months and has really seen results. I do have to say that he already was in good shape and that some of the video's (core centre-something) were still hard for him to do. Hope you do well!!! x Senna

If you plan on updating on this topic very often, like every day or two then maybe you really should start another blog, but if you are just going to tell us about your progress every now and then i don't think it's really necessary. :)
