Matte Neutral FOTD (cam-whore heavy)

Hi guys! Long time no FOTD. I have to go to school in about 1 hour, so I squeezed a little photo session before that.

Today I decided to do a neutral light smoky eye. I don't really feel comfortably wearing electric turquoise all over my eyes in Marketing Management class to go over our project. BTW, for those of you who are interested, Marketing Management is a BITCH of a class. Our daily "Warm up" is to come up with different product/strategy to help a failing company (right now we are doing Citi Group and Waterford Crystal).

What I used:

Face:
--Revlon Colorstay foundation with softflex in Buff
--MF Pan Stick in True Beige (great concealer/stick foundation)
--Revlon Age defying pressed powder in translucent dark (AMAZING!)
--Smashbox Soft fusion ins Dimension (sucky, no pigmentation)

Eyes:
--La Femme e/s in Brown (all over lid), Dark brown (crease), Nude (highlight)
--Stila smudgepot in black
--CG Lash Blast (craptastic!! My lashes got SO straight after putting this on!)

Lips:
--Blom l/g in Mango (juicy sheer peach)

With flash:

BIG smile!

No flash

...A fire truck was going by...Please ignore that stupid ass pimple Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse gave me.

Funnies:
Please call me Ms. Turtle (cuz I think I look like one)

I love my smudgpot SOOOO much!

What do you mean I only have 15 mins to get to school?!!!!

Review: Egyptian Magic All Purpose Cream

Hi guys! Here's is the review for EM. I'm sure some of you have been waiting for this for a long time, so here we go!

As you all know, I have SEVERE scarring on my right cheek, I don't know why, but it's just on my right. I think that's the side I sleep on, which is why I need to wash all my sheets/pillow cases. After months of not seeing any results of scar fading from GOW products I was using (since they were more hydrating than"scar fading"), I decided to branch out and try more products. I've heard good things about Egyptian Magic but gawked at the high price tag of $35 at my local health food store (like Wild Oats, Trader Joe's, Whole Food, etc). However, I couldn't stand my scars anymore (and since I need a "referral" from my regular doctor to see a dermatologist, and she won't refer me, so I can't get Retin-A or Differin), I sucked it up and purchased my first jar of Egyptian Magic (EM).

HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS!! How did I live for so long without this piece of jem?!! I couldn't believe how moisturizing this is! So, move on to detailed review:

Name: Epytian Magic All Purpose Cream

Price: $25-$35 depending on where you buy it from

Where can I buy it?: online or big health food stores

Ingredients (This is the best part!): Olive oil, Beeswax, honey, Pollen, Royal Jelly, and propolis extract

Claims:"...used as an anti aging rejuvenation to maintin radiant, healthy, smooth and glowing skin."

Packaging: It's in a very plain jar. It's simple but a little unsanitary since you have to dig your finger in.

Texture: When you first touch it, it seems like vaseline, but it melts on contact and turns into oil.

Pros:
--Extremely moisturizing. I couldn't stop touching my face in the morning!
--All natural ingredients.
--Even though it's $$ at first, one little 4oz jar will last you a LONG time!
--I can see that my scars had faded quite a bit in the 3 weeks time.
--Works on all skin types. YES, even oily skin!
--It doesn't break me out or clog my pores.
--It evens out my skintone.

Cons:
--The intial cost.
--The stupid jar! Even though this is how they allow you to control the amount you needed.
--When you firt put it on, it's really oily. It takes about 30 minutes to sink in, which is why I recommend to only use this at night. However, your skin will be unbelievably soft afterwards.

My before and after:
Before: The scars are red and very visible.

After: Less visible and red. IDK why I was making that "I see dead ppl" face.

I know the lighting is different. I promise I will take better pics next time.

With makeup...You can barely see them! YAY!!

Let this be our little secret!

Overall, I give this product 4.5 out of 5! High recommend!

Thanks for viewing!
Take care!

Near Death Experience....

...is what I just had. Good thing my BF was there to give me a hand, otherwise I will be known as the girl who choked on a peanut butter sandwich.....

BULLSHIT!!! You almost KILLED me you little delicious MOFO!!

How the hell was I supposed to know that my BF is intellectually challenged to make PB & J? I thought all the peanut butter and jelly were perfectly even throughout the sandwich...Lesson learned: DON'T ASSUME ANYTHING!! Just before I make perfect sandwiches, it does NOT mean that other people do too. There was this BIG glop of peanut butter all concentrated at one spot!! Unknowingly, I took a big bite...The bite almost cost me my life. Just a little FYI: peanut butter is REALLY dry, so you better be DAMN sure that you have some drinks with you. Of course, I was a retard and didn't think about that before I took the bite, so I was choking on the bread/peanut butter mix!! The dry mixture got stuck in my throat and I couldn't even speak!

Fortunately my BF was near by and heard my gargling sound. He rushed over and handed me some water (it's to my suspicion that he had experienced the same thing before). Once I got the water...I felt the life come back to my body. HOLY CRAP!! That was so scary.

I got SO irrationally angry at my sandwich, but not angry enough to throw it away. If looks could kill, the poor PB&J would've been LONG dead. I stuffed it in my mouth and chewed it furiously (carefully too!). HAHA, LOOK WHO GOT THE LAST LAUGH NOW!

Anywho, let this be a lesson to all of you that eat too quickly, FOOD CAN KILL!
'Night!

P.S. The above story is TRUE! I didn't make any of this up.

Childhood Dreams that got brutally crushed....

Hi guys! I'm sure some of your are very intrigued by the title of this post, LOL! I'm sure all of you firmly believed something when you were little, only to end up being extremely disappointed. This process of getting some of your perfect dreams crushed and discover the reality is a part of being more mature.

Here are some of my dreams, please feel free to make a list for yourself too!

1. Before I was 6, I've always dreamt to be able to bounce on clouds, just like trampoline. They look so soft and fluffy...just like marshmallows. I was completely crushed when I found out by going on a plane for a family trip, that clouds are just water droplets that are suspended in the air. They are just like fog!!

2. I've always wanted to make this pill that can make you live forever, and I will sell the first pill to Bill Gates for gazillion dollars. That dream was brutally murdered by my 4th grade teacher. I can still remember exactly what she said: "Tao, grow up. This is not a realistic goal! It goes against the human nature." While thinking back on it, it is true. Pills like that will completely destroy the balance in nature! However, back then I was completely stunned. I was heart broken for at least 2 weeks.

3. I've also wanted to be a forensic pathologist. I've always like shows like CSI: Miami, House, etc. even the Chinese ones! I didn't want to be detectives nor lawyers, I wanted to be the hot medical examiner that cuts people open to look for different weird causes of death. That dream was destroyed when I got my first D ever in 1st 9 week grading period in AP Biology in highschool. Of course, other than forensic pathologist, this fact killed off all so called "Asian" majors for me, such as all Pre-Med majors and any science majors.

4. Like every other adolescent girl, I dreamt of being discovered by a modeling scout randomly on the street (or in the mall). Of course, this dream self destructed after knowing that I will never be 5'10" and 100lbs. Still, I wonder frequently what it will feel like to be rich, famous, and gorgeous (Yes, Adrina Lima and Miranda Kerr, I'm talking to you).

How about you guys? What were some of your dreams that didn't come true? I would LOVE to hear some of the stories!

Have a great day everyone!
