Is there such a thing called Sexy Kawaii? (pic so heavy....)

Dudes and dudetts, I've been way to addicted to those Japanese magazines like Cancam. I tried and tried to create looks that are similar to them. However, since I don't have a crease, I had to improvise by using falsies.

TIP for MONOLIDS: Use falsies with a thick rim (the part you put glue on), it will make you look like you have double lids. You will be able to see these little darlings working their magic in the following pics.

I don't think you can talk about Japanese makeup w/o talking about Ayumi Hamasaki, I LOVE her eyes (and hair! I don't think I could pull off this color though).

Here's my attempt...It TOTALLY didn't turn out the same way, but....eh. Whatev.

What I used:

Face:
--Mineral Hygienics foundation in Light
--Stila sheer tinted moisturizer SPF 15 in Bronze (forgot to include this in the pic)
--MAC NMSF in Deep Dark as a contour
--Stila blush in tint

Eyes:
--Ben Nye fireworks fantasy wheel (bronze) as a base
--Stila e/s in Slate (last one on the right in 1st row)
--Stila e/s in Golightely (last one on the right in 2nd row)
--Stila e/s in Punalu (the black side from that blue/black duo)
--Stila Smudgepot in black
--Falsies
--Apple mascara with MF 2000 calorie extreme lash plumper
--Prestige Coffee bean on brow (I drew my brows a lot thicker today...I think they failed)

Lips:
--MAC lipglass in clear
--MAC reflects glitter in reflects red

Close ups:

You can see how I did my crease really well in these pics:

Massive yellow flash-less pic....My face is huge....

I love this pic b/c it doesn't show my double chin, plus my hair looks nice!

Dazed expression, this is how most of my professors see me.

OMFG! I love how my eyes turned out in this pic! This makes me wanna get double eye-lid surgery.

...How come I look like I have a lazy eye?

I LOVE TIGI Bedhead Small talk! It smells like grapes!

I think all my FOTDs need some funny faces:

This is sexy-gone-bad face....

This is the "FUCK! I just lost the lotto" face...

This is the "I have really prominent cheeks" face....

...and this is the "I have a scar on my tongue" face (long story).

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my idiotic photo session. PLMK if you have any questions. Thanks!

Review: Apple mascara

HOLY CRAP!! I just found my HG mascara!! It's a miracle!!

I don't know anyone with WORSE lashes than me, but I guarantee you that it takes some hardcore mascara to help my lashes to stay curled and make the curls last (very important, most mascaras help my lashes to curl for like 5 mins, then it goes straight).

Here's the detailed review:

Name: Apple Super Long Lash

Country of Origin
: Mexico

Price: 3 for $13 including shipping on Ebay

Where to buy: I got mine from Ebay, so I don't know where else to get it. Mexico? LOL!
Claims: "conditions, promotes growth and gives you volume for thicker longer lashes! "

Packaging: Nothing special, it basically reflects what color the mascara is.

Brush: To me it looks like the Maybeline Great Lash mascara, but works SOOO much better!

Pros:
--It's the only mascara that makes my lashes as curled/curlier after I used the lash curler.
--My lashes stay curled ALL day long!
--Non-smudging, even though it's not waterproof
--Can we say "CHEAP"?
--No clumping, no spider legs
--Multiple colors to choose from, mine is black black, it's REALLY dark
--Makes your lashes really soft and shiny
--Lengthening!!

Cons:
--Not readily available, only sold on ebay...unless someone wants to cross the border to get everyone a few of these?
--The texture is a little on the dry side, it's not as wet as...let's say L'oreal Voluminious or Maybelline Great lash
--The packaging is kinda ugly and the brush is boring
--not really voluminzing

Will I re-purchase? To the hell YES!!!

Overall rating: 5 out of 5!

Proof that this is a miracle worker:

Here's my naked eye, no curling, nothing....It's really pathetic. You have to use a magnifying glass to see them. I have the true Asian lashes.

Here's it curled...:

(not curled on left, curled on right)

...using this:

After mascara:

See how curled they are?

With my eyes done...Excuse the brows, haven't done that yet.

I bought from mxmascaralady on Ebay. Their service is great! I received my product within like 2 days, and their price is unbeatable! I strongly recommend them!

Anyway, it's 2:30am, and I have a presentation tomorrow. I don't want ot look like a panda. I will be back tomorrow. Good night!

Love,

Jealousy....*self pitying ahead*

Has there been times when you just feel unexplained wave of jealousy toward someone? Well, I'm experiencing that after looking at Angela Baby's Xanga site.

This is she:

I know she's GORGEOUS, I know she's famous, I know she's richer than a motherfucker, AND I know that she has a killer bod. I know there's no reason for me to be jealous because I know I will NEVER look like her. However, I'm SO unrationally jealous of her. Because she's pretty, she got to be a model and make a lot of money. I used to think that looks aren't everything, but recent events have changed that.

My boyfriend's sister (Sam) who just turned 18 got into UF. She got in because her BF's step-grandpa is a huge benefactor to the school. He donated millions and millions of dollars to our school, so he's on the Board of Trustees. Even though she won't admit it, I know Sam is dating that guy b/c of the grandpa connection. Her mom helped her out a lot, giving her tips on how to flirt with the guy and make nice with his family. Her bf's mom told Sam's mom that she got in weeks before the result came out, and of course, she got in. However, she didn't tell anyone about this connection thing. Her mom told everyone that Sam got in b/c of her grades (which is decent, but not amazing).

One thing about Sam is that she's striking. She used to be a model, and still models occasionally. She's petite (size 00) and very A&F. She has blond hair, blue/gray eyes, and perfect lips. Because of those characteristics, she's had guy after guy, and people always revolve around her, especially her mother. My bf's mom is always spending $$ on Sam, hair appointments, shopping trips, going out to eat (Who the fuck spends $2o on PF Chang's to bring lunch to her daughter in highschool?), flying her everywhere to meet cute guys....etc. However, when it comes to my BF, it's always "Money is a little tight right now", well it won't be if you freakin' saved some!!

I had to work my ass off to get to where I am, but all she needed to do was to flirt with some guy and now she's in. I used to take comfort in the fact that I'm the brainy one and she's the pretty one, but now she's apparently gorgeous AND intelligent. I've got NOTHING. Sam and Angela Baby both are the kind of people that are naturally gorgeous. They don't need makeup nor expensive clothing to look amazing. I need to spend 30 minutes doing makeup alone. I was brought up under my mom's influence that we should always choose brains over brawn, but nowadays, I'm not sure anymore.

Let's be honest, when you are gorgeous, things come so much easier, wealth accumulates faster, and life in general is just a lot happier. I know it's silly for me to be jealous over these things, but lately my life has been so hectic that sometimes I wonder if life would be easier if I were prettier. I'm just rambling on now, it's almost 2 in the morning, and I've been up for more than 18 hrs, and I think I'm hallucinating.

However, I think if I lost some weight, I will look a little better. My skin will probably clear up without all the junk in my body, my hair will be more luscious, my body will be amazing, and maybe, just maybe, my life will be easier. Maybe, if I were skinner, blunt bangs will look amazing on me; if I were skinner I can wear $3 clothes and still look sizzling; if I were skinner, jobs will be easier to find. I've never been skinny, and maybe, just maybe, this year I will be.

My starting weight: 150lbs
My Goal Weight: 110 lbs
My starting time: 2/23/09
My Goal Time: 11/19/09
Duration: 9 months

I don't think this will be hard. 40lbs in 9 months? That's like 5 lbs a month. I think I can make it. I need your support girls, I will update this blog (hopefully) daily to keep myself on track...OR I can have a new blog dedicating to diet (which I think is actually better). So, anyway, stay tuned for more.

Good night and have a pleasant tomorrow.

Product Review: Nadinola Cocoa Butter Cream

Hi guys! As we all know (at least in my opinion), the worst thing about winter is that it leaves your skin screaming for moisture. I've had my share of moisturizers in the past, so I think I'm experienced enough to conclude that Nadinola Cocoa Butter Cream is one of my favorite moisturizers.

Here's the detailed review:

Name: Nadinola Cocoa Butter Cream

Price: Dirt cheap! I got my for 99 pennies at Walmart.

Where to get it: I got my at Walmart by the ethnic hair care products, along with fade cream and all that jazz.

Packaging: Plain old white jar, unoriginal, not really sanitary.

Ingredients: Water, Theobroma Cacao (cocoa) Seed butter, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Petrolatum, Cocos Nucifera (coconut) oil, Mineral oil, Cetayl Alcohol, Clyceryl Stearate, Stearyl Alcohol, Glycol tearate, Porpylene Glycol, Triethanolamin, Lanolin, Dimethicone, Tetrasodim EDTA, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance, Yello 6.

Overall rating: 4.5 out of 5

Will I repurchase: YES!!

Pro:

--Smells AMAZING!!!! White chocolate anyone? It doens't smell like the synthetic chocolate that makes me sick, it's SOO light and natural! I love it!
--Very moisturizing. I use it on my body and face alike, and it works very well either way.
--Its texture. It looks really thick, but it's almost whipped at your finger's touch. It's AMAZING!
--Fast absorbtion. I don't have to wait 30 mins before I put on clothes.
--CHEAP!!! Need I say more?
--It doesn't break me out
--Cocoa butter is the 2nd ingredient on the list! Usually it's like the 5th one.

Con:

--The packaging.
--It doesn't come in a bigger size, at the rate I'm using it, I think I need new one every month.

Some close ups:

See how thick it looks?

Whipped cream anyone?

It's almost liquidy when it touches your skin!

How it looks after 1 minute:

Overall, GREAT product!

That's it y'all! Have a great week!

What I'm currently using tag...

Hi guys! Sorry I've neglected this blog for the past few days.

BUT!! I will be making up for that in the next couple of days starting with this post. I was reading Lollipop26's blog, and I LOVED this idea, so I decided to make a list my self.

So what this tag basically is is for everyone to list EVERYTHING beauty related they use currently down, so it should be fun. As you all know, I hate tagging people b/c I never know who to tag, so TAG! YOU ARE IT!!

My list!

Hair

Shampoo: Tresemme Deep Cleansing Shampoo- I've always been a fan of Tresemme. I've noticed a lot of product buildup from using Pantene, so I decided to start using a clarifying shampoo paired with a more moisturizing conditioner. It's working out pretty well.

Conditioner: TIGI Bedhead Manipulator conditioner--smells DELICIOUS!! Coconut and Pineapple!! Yum!

Styling products: I don't really use a that many styling products since I don't style my hair at all, but I'm using CHI Silk Infusion and Redken Extreme Anti-Snap as a glosser and leave-in conditioner.

Hair mask: Coconut oil! I swear by this!!

Body

Shower gel: Softsoap in Calm--I don't really care for shower gels. They are all the same to me.

Body moisturiser: Jergen Natural Daily Moisturizer in Renew - It smells AMAZING and moisturizes like crazy!

Deodarant - Certain dry

Fake tan: Say WHAT?!! I don't fake tan! However, sometimes I do use a little Ben Nye bronzing tint on my legs to make them look not so pasty. It's only temporary though, it gets washed off.

Face

Cleanser: Biore anti-blemish Ice cleanser, Neutrogena amber bars

Eye makeup remover: Ben Nye Quick Cleanse--basically mineral oil, but it hasn't broken me out yet...Verdict is still pending.

Exfoliator -Reviva 10% Glycolic Acid. It stings a little, but it really works.

Makeup

Primer: Smashbox Photofinish Light--Is it me or is it kinda liquidy and greasy? Nontheless it fills up my pores and create a flawless canvas for my makeup.

Foundation: Revlon Colorstay for when my skin is dry, Mineral Hygenics for when my skin is slightly oil.

Foundation brush: 187 to apply, then fingers to blend it out.

Concealer: My lover Coverblend by Exvuviance. Review coming soon.

Powder: Ben Nye Neutral set powder and TKB Trading Silica powder

Blusher: Way too many to list! Most often though it's probably Tony & Tina (now discontinued) Self healing blush. The follow up is Stila Quaint blush duo.

Bronzer: MAC Refined Golden--HIT PAN!

Highlighter: TKB Trading Hilite Copper--What an interesting color...Imagine MAC Vanilla pigment, but slightly copper! GORGEOUS!

Eyeshadow base: Ben Nye Fireworks wheel for everyday (the other one is too intense for 10 o'clock marketing strategy class....)

Eyeshadows: Ben Nye grand luminere powder in Bronze and Royal Purple, Stila Chinois, TKB Trading Swiss chocolate, hilite copper, and antiqued amber.

Eyeliner: Stila smudgpot in black always. For bottom liner I'm loving MAC Costa Riche and Teddy (Yes I do love my shimmery dark bronze).

Eyelash curler: Some cheapies I found at Walmart. It's the BEST!

Eyelash base: I don't really use any since they all seem to weigh my lashes down, but I don't want to shell out $21 for the Shiseido one.

Mascara: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Extreme Lash Plumper...It's LOVE!!

Lipstick: Maybelline Moisture Extreme in Born With It, Peach Colada, and Nude Blush.

Lipgloss: L'oreal HIP Jelly Balm in Succulent.

Nail colour: China Glaze Neon colors.

Now it's your turn. GO!!

WTF?

What's going on with my blog?!! How come it's blank?!

The GMAT completely SUCKED!! I do not even want to talk about it.

Anyways, I will post a few product reviews in the next few days. I'm completely brain dead right now. I didn't sleep for 48 hours studying the GMAT. Then after the GMAT, I slept for 15 hrs straight, so now I'm busy catching up with my hw.

I will be back soon though. I promise!

Thanks for all your support, ladies! I love you all!

Studying for GMAT...

sucks MONSTER balls!!!

I have the exam tomorrow 2/13/09 at 12:15pm....Yes, I'm taking GMAT on Friday the 13th. At least I have something to blame if I failed this. I've been studying diligently (only looking at blogs/YT every 30 minutes instead of every 10 minutes) for the past 2 weeks. Hopefully I could pull off a 700.

I HATE HATE HATE Data Sufficiency questions. They are questions that have answers like:

A) Statement 1 alone is sufficient, but Statement 2 alone is NOT sufficient.
B) Statement 2 alone is sufficient, but Statement 1 alone is NOT sufficient.
C) Both statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement alone is sufficient.
D) Each statement alone is sufficient.
E) Statement 1 and 2 TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

I missed 9 out of 10 questions on the practice test....Yes, this portion of the test completely teabags me (Bye bye 700!).

Do you know what the worst part is? GMAT COSTS $250 EVERYTIME YOU TAKE IT. If I don't do well on this test or ended up having to take it again, forget about my mom, I'd kill myself, LOL! Seriously? Do they NOT want you to pursue a higher education? $250?! They might as well go rob a bank?! Wait, that's right, banks don't have any money anymore.... Why don't they go rob Miley Cirus?!! It's a lot easier! Fucking education system completely screws over middle/lower class people! Some ppl can't even afford to pay bills, how do they expect them to cough up $250?! It's not like money is easy to make right now!!

It's kinda weird that I'm better at Verbal section than Math, since I'm Asian, and I've only spoken English for about 6 years. Somehow I find Verbal a lot easier, although Sentence Correction kills me since my grammar is beyond sucky. Those fuckers are tricky though. I had 2 questions with answer explanations like "Although both A and B are grammatically correct, A is a better choice because it has less commas". WTF?!!! If they are both grammatically correct, THEY ARE BOTH CORRECT! You are testing if something makes sense grammatically, NOT if something is more concise. Retards!!!

Anyway, I have to go study more before my caffeine buzz dies down. I will do a major update after my exam tomorrow (hopefully), so stay tuned!

Wish me luck!

A Good Night Sleep FOTD

LMAO at the title! I'm so not creative! Today I did a look w/o my signature eyeliner, so I thought I'd share.

The goal today was to create the illusion that I got a good night sleep, when in actuality I only got about 2 hrs of craptastic sleep. Also, I'm starting to use this mineral brand called Mineral Hygienics, and it's working really well! I actually think that my skin looks decent today.

Note: I didn't photoshop any of my pics, I'm way to computer illiterate to do that. I love taking flashless pix in the sunlight cuz it makes my skin look awesome!

What I used:

Face:
Mineral Hygienics Fdtn in Fairly Light (also layered as concealer)
Mineral Hygienics bronzer (a little too orange as a bronzer, I used it as a blush)

Eyes:
TKB Trading in Highlight Copper (I loved it so much that I got a whole ounce!)
TKB Trading in Antiqued Copper Mica (love!!)

MAC Brow...powdew duo thingy
MF 2000 calorie extreme mascara (ppl who love CG lashblast would REALLY love this!)

Lips:
Strawberry Chapstick (Old School!)

Cam-Whore!!!

Close up: The colors were used to lightly that you can barely see anything!

Fake photoshop!! I love my camera!

My face is SOOOO round!

Only pic taken with flash!

Anyway, I think this will be the last time you will see me w/o my liner! WUAHHAHHAHAH!
