Dude...

I never knew time could go by sooooo slowly.

I've been without any reliable source of internet for a week and a half now. The hotel Nathan and I spent 5 days at while moving me in charged us an arm and a leg for internet usage (I tried to upload a 2011 favorite products video...It failed miserably). My apartment building's "fast reliable wireless internet" is literally slower than dirt. Yes, I know dirt doesn't move, that's my point.

So what have I been doing since Nathan's departure? Well, I read 5 of Jane Austen's books, The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes, and 3 of the books I had to read for my training. Yep, that's 9 books in 5 days. *pats self on the back*

I also found two Chinatown (although the actual Atlanta Chinatown is so ghetto it should be called China Strip-Mall). However, I have gained 5lbs since my arrival...us Chinese REALLY know how to cook.

Luckily I called AT&T and got U-verse. If thing went well, I would hopefully have ok internet tomorrow after 8pm. Please bear with me guys. I promise I will make it up to you.

I'm heading off for a Meet & Greet with my new co-workers. Hopefully things go well. *Fingers crossed*

Love,

Tao

TMI P.S. I don't know if it's my recent indulgence in food or my body's having trouble adjusting to the new environment, but I'm pretty backed up. Does anyone have good tips on how to relieve irregularities? Metamucil isn't doing much. Also, I'm thinking of starting the Master Cleanse AKA The Lemonade Diet. Yay or Nay?

LOL at this whole post, Tao. But seriously, for 'irregularities' try chugging a can of low-sodium V8. Works like a charm for me. Warning: the smell/ taste is horrendous at first, but you get used to it and it's not so bad.

Congratulations on a successful move! I say 'Nay'. Two of my friends did it. They were miserable and lost about five points but gained it back right away. Beyonce even came out and renounced it after supporting it and it seems like a terrible thing to do to your body. :/

Yay on the master cleanse! A good detox is necessary from time to time.

If you're lactose intolerant, a little dairy might help. ;)

Castor oil is a natural laxative, but tastes nasty. Or else OD'ing on sugar-free candy also works (don't ask me how I know that).

And nay nay nay on the Master Cleanse. If you want to detox, try eating salads and soups and fiber for a week to flush out your system. If you want to lose weight, only diet and exercise will work. Master Cleanse will deprive you of important nutrients and you gotta be on your A-game in Atlanta right? :)

Good luck with everything in Atlanta!

Hi Tao. I've been a follower of yours on Youtube for a while now and I gotta say you look good just the way you are. But i am a girl/women too so I know how you are felling right now. I've never tried the Lemonade Diet before but I did do a body cleanse last year(its bout time I need to do another one hehe!)and I have to say its not as hard has what some people are putting it to be. You just gotta eat and balance your food intake (yes it is hard the first time but you will get used to it).

I can't wait to hear about your new job. Congrats by the way.

Try prune juice, coffee, or apples for your digestive needs. Nay to the Master Cleanse you're going to need all your energy when starting a new job, if u must do it do it during a holiday or something.

Whenever i go travel, i always suffer the irregularities. so I've tried pomegranate juice mix with soda. It works for me. I found this from cl2425.com. The catch is, it has to be this "http://www.trentmueller.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/pomegranate.jpg" pomegranate juice, it can't be other, i don't know why. just mix half cup of the pomegrate juice with half cup of clubsoda. it does the work for me. Others than that i tried benefiber, it works too, less complicated than the pomegranate juice. hth :)

Boo to no internet! Sometimes I wish I didn't have it so I wouldn't be so distracted.

I say nay to the Master Cleanse. You won't be getting any protein and it only seems short term. Just eat more kale and oatmeal and tons of yogurt!!

Hey Tao! Personally I find eating bran rather than drinking it helps a lot and drink lots of water. All Bran cereal (the original, not the stupid buds) is THE BEST for this. THrow in some berries or other cereal to make it taste better, but have at least 1/2 a cup in the morning, followed by lots of water and you should be ok in a few days!

If metamucil isn't working, try drinking more water after you've finished drinking it. These things work better when the gunk isn't "dry", you know what I mean?

I drink the Diet Tea sold in Asian Markets (it's in the tea aisle). They're in these green boxes. Tastes and smells horrendous but it gets the job done. I would advise you to stay home the day you drink the tea. It kicks in pretty quickly the first time, so you're never sure when it's going to hit =). Good luck and welcome to Atlanta!

Tao--very simple and effective for irregularity is stirring the juice of 1/4-1/2 of a lemon in a mugful of boiling water, and add honey to taste.

Hey Tao I miss seeing you in your videos a lot :) wish you the best luck with your future! BTW I strongly want to suggest you to try lemon water. SUPER DUPER simple. just sweeze one whole lemon into a 500ml cup or bottle water and drink that once or twice a day. I had suffered from you know what for 3-4 years (I'm not exaggerating)and this is what cured my stomach! hope it will help you too. Lemon water is not only good for the bowel movement but also for the skin!

Crazy, Sexy, Diet is a highly recommended cleanse if you are looking to do a cleanse. I have heard negative things about the Master Cleanse. Flax seeds are an excellent source of fiber when you grind them up and add them to yogurt or a smoothie or whatever, if you need help with digestion issues. Just whole, organic foods. Stay away from caffeine, drink ginger tea, helps ease the stomach.

Green Tea/Coffee, apples or anything high in fibre will help.
