OMG! Tao's ALIVE! Life updates (part 1)

Hi all,

First of all, I'd like to extend my sincerest apology for being MIA for the past...year? I know promises were made to keep this blog more frequently updated, but between balancing adjusting to work and while keep personal life going, all social media activities have been put on the back-burner. Honestly, I don't know how people keep up with this stuff, haha.

I'd also like to thank each and every one of you for still being here despite my absence.

I've received a lot of messages from people asking what I've been up to and how Seattle has been treating me, so I'm here to do a quick little update.

1. Seattle is amazing. It rains less than I expected, and the scenery is always breathtaking. There's always something to do: hiking, skiing, biking, etc. Regardless of the weather, there's always something for everyone.
Seattle Skyline
The famous gum wall.
Sweatin' it out.
2. People here are really nice. Though some might say they've got the "Seattle Freeze" (be nice enough to get you outta their way), I was fortunate enough to find people that are sincere, hilarious, and most importantly, there for me when I needed true friends.

3. I have a BF. In order to somewhat protect his identity, I'll refer him as B. B was one of my first friends out here in Seattle. We met last June via a sports/recess group on (No, not a dating site. It's fun. you should check it out for groups/events near you.). We met while playing the game Capture the Flag. We clicked instantly. We texted and gchatted, and I can honestly say that I've never met anyone who's more in sync with me as B. We never ventured into anything beyond friendly conversations, but both of us agreed that it was uncanny how well we meshed together.

He had a GF at the time, and I realized that my feelings for him were growing as we talked/chatted. I knew that I had to put a brake on everything, so we stopped talking. I had a brief fling afterwards (Pro tip: Never EVER overlook intelligence just because you got sidetracked by the muscles.) but I've learned that you can't date someone just because you're lonely.

Needless to say, a relationship without any real substance is not likely to last. After the breakup, I focused on work and friends. I didn't want to start anything so soon after a relationship, regardless the length.

One day I saw his name on my gchat list. I didn't know what compelled me to do so, but I said Hi to him. Let me tell you, it was just like riding a bike. We reconnected instantly like we never stopped talking. However, we were in Friend-zone level 99 and didn't know how to move forward.
In Feb 2013, when we finally reconnected.
Well... my laptop's about to die, so the rest is for a different day. Gotta keep the suspense for a bit. :) I'll leave you all with a kiss.

P.S. Traveling for work sucks.
